This group of islands takes their name from Roman times when the princes were sent there on exile. It was also known as the pleasure realm of Byzantine dynasty youngsters. There are 9 islands of different sizes, and we will visit two of them: Büyükada and Heybeliada. No cars are permitted on the islands. There are many glorious mansions with characteristic overhanging balconies, most of which are inhabited only during the summer. The area is an awesome place both for swimming and for relaxing in the forest in the sound of silence.
